The Busy Business Lady's Christmas

The Busy Business Lady's Christmas is a musical Written, Co-directed by and starring Hazel Alva.
It ran at Literaturhaus Copenhagen December 9th-11th 2023.
It was an alternative take on the classic Christmas rom-com, with an addition of musical numbers and a queer love story.
The story centers Helen, a career-driven lady living in the big city, who returns home only once a year for Christmas, to the island she grew up on.
Even on Christmas holiday, she usually buries herself in her work, but this year she loses her laptop and her phone in the ocean and she must to what she fears most in order to do her work and get her promotion... Ask for help!
In unexpected circumstances, Leila the island barista, offers Helen a helping hand.
Helen is both surprised and intrigued by Leila's unconventional lifestyle, and Leila is charmed by Helen's attempts to step out of her comfort zone in order to spend time with Leila.
